Stoke City FC Player Development Camp
Stoke City FC has been using their specialised player development camp to play a vital role in helping them identify emerging football talent. This year we will hold international Football camps in South East Queensland and are inviting youth players aged 8-18 years to showcase their talents and learn new skills under the expert guidance of Stoke City Football Academy Head Coach and their trusted partners Ultimate Development Group. The most promising players will be invited back to Stoke City FC to take part in a professional football experience at Britannia Stadium. There, players will be put through an advanced, intensive training program by the Academy and Premier League coaches.
All Player Development Camps run over two days and are open to boys & girls aged between 10 to 18 years. Each player is ch
allenged to learn new skills and develop their overall game play. The players will discover how Stoke City develops youngsters.
This action-packed two day camp will focus on the Stoke City Development Model.
Stoke City Soccer Schools recognise the specific needs of each player and offer the following;

Youth: 17-18 years: An advanced, intensive course gives older players a valuable insight into the opportunities that arise by staying in the game. As well as experiencing how Stoke City prepares our youth players to take that next step in their career development.

2012 University Scholarship Program
The Gold Coast Knights Soccer Club, Ultimate Development Group and Parklands
Soccer has always been a part of the Australian sporting culture. It is by far the most popular sport with the largest number of participants in the country. However, the majority of the participants are young students in their primary school years. The participation numbers drop dramatically when the students reach their senior schooling years or they will only participate at a recreational level. The reasons for this trend are the lack of any financial hope for a future in the game and lack of programs and opportunities in
To overcome this hurdle and to provide opportunities that will open doors to our talented youths, we have initiated and successfully created affiliations with the most prestigious universities in the

Boys in Grade 10, 11 and 12 (15-18 yrs. old) from invited schools and soccer clubs in
The selected players will be invited to join the University Scholarship Tour in February 2012, where they’ll play in the prestigious “Mayor’s Cup” – Las Vegas, a tournament held annually where over 150 university soccer coaches come together to scout for outstanding players. The selected players will also play ‘friendly’ matches against international and America clubs, in front of scouts and university coaches.
